Another Pac-12 school is trying to pick up a former Arizona commit

The UCLA Bruins have already picked up Shareef O’Neal, and now the Oregon Ducks are trying to nab Brandon Williams.

The four-star point guard received an offer from Dana Altman and company, Williams announced Sunday on Twitter.

Williams decommitted from the Arizona Wildcats on Thursday amid an ESPN report that alleged Sean Miller is on tape discussing a pay-for-play scenario for Deandre Ayton.

However, unlike O’Neal who quickly picked a new school after he decommitted, Williams said Arizona will still be an option as he reevaluates his recruitment.

Arizona currently has zero 2018 commits, and is set to lose seven players at season’s end. Miller confirmed Saturday that Ayton, Allonzo Trier, and Rawle Alkins will not be returning in 2018-19.

So Williams, the No. 7 point guard in the country, could start immediately and have a major role for the Wildcats as Alex Barcello is UA’s only returning point guard, but the uncertainty surrounding the Arizona program dampens the school’s appeal.

The Duke Blue Devils are also seen as a potential landing spot for Williams.

Williams, from Crespi High School in Encino, California, is the No. 33 prospect in the 2018 class, per 247Sports.

Oregon currently has the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, including two five-star prospects in Bol Bol and Louis King.
