Williams had offers from Pittsburgh, Indiana, and Cincinnati among others. He runs a 4.60 40-yard dash, has a 34-inch vertical, and is a First Team Class 6A All-State performer.
In 2016, Williams had 43 catches for 979 yards and nine touchdowns.
“Williams was the go-to targets last year for Johns Creek last year,” says his scouting report on RecruitGeorgia.com. “Line him up at TE, flex him out, it doesn’t matter; the 2018 recruit is a matchup nightmare with his blend of speed and size. W
“Williams has been very serious about his development and has worked hard each offseason making impressive strides. He was the state leader last year in receiving yards for a TE, and has a very refined skill set running routes. The film currently at the bottom of his profile is vs Lassiter where he went head to head against one of the top safeties in the country.”
Williams is the 17th commit in Arizona’s 2018 class, which is ranked 62nd in the country.
Arizona has picked up commitments from two other wide receivers recently in Tre Adams and Thomas Marcus.
