Arizona Wildcats football injury report: Nick Wilson questionable vs. UTEP

LS Nick Reinhardt and LB Carrington Vaughn are out for the year

The Arizona Wildcats might be without starting running back Nick Wilson for the second straight week.

Arizona released its injury report for Friday’s road game at UTEP and Wilson is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

Here is the full injury report in its entirety:

Probable: None

Questionable: RB Nick Wilson (ankle), DL Parker Zellers (ankle)

Doubtful: None

Out: DE/LB DeAndre’ Miller (foot), DB Isaiah Hayes (shoulder), WR Donovan Walker (shoulder), LS Nick Reinhardt (knee, season-ending), LB Carrington Vaughn (knee, season-ending), TE Trevor Wood (ankle)

Also of news is that long snapper Nick Reinhardt and linebacker Carrington Vaughn are both done for the year with knee injuries.

Nathan Eldridge and Donald Reiter will likely take over at long snapper in Reinhardt’s absence.

Vaughn, who earned a scholarship just before the start of the season, made two tackles vs. NAU, but did not play vs. Houston.

Starting defensive tackle Parker Zellers may not play vs. UTEP because of an ankle injury. Second on the depth chart is Finton Connolly.

DeAndre’ Miller will miss his third game after undergoing foot surgery in the offseason. Rich Rodriguez has not shed any details on when the redshirt senior will return to the lineup.

Tight end Trevor Wood is missing his second straight game, giving true freshman Bryce Wolma another chance to shine. Wolma had five catches for 38 yards vs. Houston last weekend.

Friday’s kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. MST, and the game will be televised on ESPN.
