Arizona football recruiting: Tyler Manoa has Wildcats in final 4

Arizona is in good place for the Bay Area defensive lineman

It’s no secret that the Arizona Wildcats need size along the defensive front. So far they have picked up nice players in Josh Walker and Mykee Irving.

Another player that the ‘Cats have their eye on and have been pursuing heavily is Bay Area recruit Tyler Manoa.

On Friday, Manoa released his top four schools, which includes Arizona, UCLA, Utah, and California.

Manoa is a three-star recruit and the No. 39 defensive tackle in the country, per 247Sports.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound defensive tackle from St. Francis High School (Mountain View, Calif.) has already visited campus once back in the spring and had a great visit from what I can tell.

Manoa is a member of the LDS community and will be going on his mission right after high school from what I’ve heard. This, however, will not be an issue for the Arizona staff since their players have gone on missions before.

Manoa would be a nice addition to the defensive line and definitely would boost the size. There is some stiff competition for Manoa’s commitment but the ‘Cats are sitting in a good spot right now. This will be a recruitment to keep an eye on.
