T.J McConnell voted Teammate of the Year by Sixers players
Everybody loves T.J.
Everybody loves T.J. McConnell.
After two years of being a fan favorite with the Arizona Wildcats, the adoration for McConnell has carried over into the NBA.
This past season, McConnell was showered with ‘MVP’ chants by Philadelphia 76ers fans, and now Sixers players have voted McConnell as the team’s 2017 Teammate of the Year.

After years of dismal play on the court (most of which was intentional), the Sixers are now seen as one of the up-and-coming teams in the NBA, possessing some of the most talented young players in the league.
Philadelphia won 28 games this past season, the most since 2012-13, and even though McConnell isn’t considered to be part of the team’s core like Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Markelle Fultz are, his impact on the franchise has been evident.
After all, there’s a reason why one Eastern Conference player called McConnell the most underrated player in the league.
