Aaron Gordon says he would’ve gone to the NBA straight out of high school if he could

Arizona fans would have never had him

Aaron Gordon spent one year with the Arizona Wildcats before moving on to the NBA, and averaged 12.4 points and eight rebounds per game in that 2013-14 season.

But if he had his way, he would have been in the NBA that year.

Gordon was answering a bunch of questions on Twitter on Friday, and then the one-and-done rule came up, and he was asked if he would’ve gone straight to the NBA out of high school if he could.

This was his answer:

It’s not like the rule was brand new when Gordon was coming out of high school. The 19-year-old age limit was set in 2006 and reaffirmed in the 2011 CBA between the union and the owners. So to say his plan was to always go straight out of high school is a little odd.

He did answer some things about his time at Arizona, like this about T.J. McConnell:

His best friends not on the Magic are all Arizona guys:

The fan support in Tucson:

And he’s predicting a National Championship for Arizona this year:

Oh, and you can’t forget a question from the one and only Mark Tollefsen:
