ASU alum and Arizona governor Doug Ducey picks UA to win National Championship
Gotta keep the voters happy
The person in charge of the state of Arizona is an ASU alum, but he knows that he shouldn’t pick against the Arizona Wildcats in the NCAA Tournament to keep his constituents happy.
Governor Doug Ducey tweeted out his bracket picks for this year’s tourney, and as expected, he has Arizona winning the National Championship.
Excited for #MarchMadness tomorrow. Picking @APlayersProgram to win it all in Glendale this year! #FinalFour @UofA @NCAA http://pic.twitter.com/687Fdm0w9j

There’s a lot to digest in the Final Four alone.
First off: Arizona/Wisconsin. Yeah, that’s a thing that Ducey has there. If this were to actually happen, I kind of wonder what the reaction in Tucson would be. There will at least be a day of celebration since the West Regional is a Thursday/Saturday site, whereas the East Regional is a Friday/Sunday site. But that Sunday if Wisconsin advances? Hmm.
Secondly, that 1997 National Championship rematch against Kentucky. That would certainly be something 20 years later.
Ducey also only has a single one-seed advancing past the Sweet Sixteen, and that’s his other Final Four team, Kansas.
Anyways, it’s funny to watch ASU alums have to pick Arizona as their National Champs. You know, like state attorney general Mark Brnovich.
Here's my #NCAATournament #marchmadness bracket - As a Sun Devil, it hurt to pick #UofA to win it all but had to stay loyal to Arizona http://pic.twitter.com/jnOI8wsvH4
