Sonoran Hot Reads: Dillon Brooks suffers leg injury vs. Cal

A potentially large development in Eugene

All three of the top teams in the Pac-12 won on Thursday night, and even though the Oregon Ducks had the largest margin of victory out of the trio, they may have suffered the biggest loss. Dillon Brooks did not play in the second half after sustaining a “lower leg injury”, which happens to be the same side that he suffered a broken foot before the season, which kept him out of the early going, and was the main reason for Oregon’s slow start. Dana Altman said “he’s fine”, but Brooks’ status moving forward is still in question

- How’d the other two do? Well, they both had less-than-stellar second halves. UCLA beat ASU 102-80, and Arizona held off USC 73-66. Arizona’s also going to have to deal with this guy on Saturday:

- You need to read this on Michael Wright’s death

- If you think the Allonzo Trier stuff is weird, well, the NCAA is actually pretty consistent with this situation

- Courtside Films has a new Marcus Bagley mixtape for us all to enjoy

- Bob Elliott will be the Arizona player inducted in the Pac-12 Hall of Honor this year

Football

- Both Arizona guys had good Shrine Game weeks, with Trey Griffey receiving tons of praise for his size and ability. That game will be on NFL Network Saturday afternoon

- USC doesn’t have a bye week this year, but we’re definitely not sad about it. Also, how did the Pac-12 let that happen again?
