Sonoran Hot Reads: No June signing period coming to college football

December is still out there though

Rich Rodriguez has long been an advocate of an early signing period in college football, but an extremely early one in the summer is not coming down the pipe. A 72-hour time frame in June was rejected on Wednesday, but a vote is coming in April for a December early signing period, which would certainly make football recruiting a bit more bearable than it is now. Currently, there is just one signing period, which starts the first Wednesday of February each year
