College basketball rankings: Arizona moves up to 16th in AP, Coaches Polls

The Wildcats move up one more spot

It seems like this is the case every week, but the Arizona Wildcats have moved up exactly one spot in the major polls.

Arizona is now 16th in the AP poll and in the Coaches poll. Here’s a look at the full AP Top 25:

This is the first time in program history that the Baylor Bears have been ranked No. 1 in the men’s basketball polls.

Arizona actually jumped over two teams this week (Wisconsin and Virginia), but the Butler Bulldogs moved back ahead of the Wildcats after defeating last week’s No. 1 team, Villanova.

Across the rest of the Pac-12, the UCLA Bruins are still at No. 4, the Oregon Ducks are at 13, and the USC Trojans are 25th. Cal is still receiving votes in the coaches poll (31st), but not the AP poll.

Up next, the Wildcats only face the Arizona State Sun Devils over the next week. ASU will travel down to Tucson, looking for a win. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 PM MT.
