The week of college basketball told through Elf GIFs
Our favorite adult elf helps us break down the last week of college basketball
With another week of college basketball behind us, we’ll forever remember the season’s best game which occurred Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas between the Kentucky Wildcats and North Carolina Tar Heels.
Malik Monk absolutely lost his mind, going off for 47 points on an incredibly efficient 18-28 shooting, including 8-12 from behind the arc (and the game-winning three). Justin Jackson, the Tar Heels’ swingman, also went for a career-high 34 points.
No. 6 Kentucky 103 - No. 7 North Carolina 100
We're all still trying to grasp what we witnessed in Vegas. What an absolute thriller.
UCLA stays undefeated, beats Ohio State 86 - 73
Apparently, this UCLA team is for real and someone should probably figure out a way to beat them.
No. 18 Butler 83 - No. 9 Indiana 78
We have a new king of the state of Indiana after this weekend. Plus, Butler just keeps on rolling!
No. 10 Creighton squeaks by Oral Roberts 66 -65
Oral Roberts only had two wins on the season at this point and would have been one of the worst losses of the year by any team if Creighton hadn’t pulled this out.
People still can’t score on Virginia (79 -39 over Robert Morris)
What I envision Virginia opponents doing after their games.
No. 15 Purdue took down in-state foe, No. 21 Notre Dame, 86 - 81
As a Notre Dame fan, this isn’t ideal. Now we need Purdue vs. Butler. #BattleforIndiana... let’s get it trending folks.
No. 19 Arizona goes 3-0 against GCU (64 - 54), Texas A&M (67 - 63) and New Mexico (77 - 46)
That A&M game was a tad too close but we were all still dancing. The Cats are now on a break until Dec. 30 when they play the Cal Bears in Berkeley.
USC is also undefeated still. The LA schools still haven’t lost (USC 82 - Troy 77)
It’s been a long time since USC was relevant going into the second half of the season. Good job Trojans.
