Arizona Wildcats in the NFL: Earl Mitchell, Brooks Reed have solid games

Reed and Mitchell are problems for any offensive line to handle

Week 15 was pretty quiet for most former Arizona Wildcats. There were some players, however, who did have pretty good games.

Brooks Reed and Earl Mitchell once again had solid outings, and Scooby Wright finally played in his first career NFL game.

Earl Mitchell, DT (#90), Miami Dolphins

2016 Stats: 15 tackles and 3.5 TFL

Mitchell had himself a solid game against the struggling New York Jets. He recorded four tackles, including 0.5 TFL in a 34-13 beating. It’s safe to say the Dolphins missed him while he was dealing with a calf injury earlier in the year.

Brooks Reed, LB/DE (#50), Atlanta Falcons

2016 Stats: 22 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble

Reed had another solid outing on Sunday. He recorded three tackles, including a TFL, in Atlanta’s 41-13 beatdown of the San Francisco 49ers.

Trevin Wade, DB (#31), New York Giants

2016 Stats: 19 tackles and 2 PBU

Wade played an overall solid game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. He only recorded two tackles, but his coverage skills were on point the majority of the game. The Giants ended up winning the game 17-6.

Ka’Deem Carey, RB (#25), Chicago Bears

2016 Stats: 32 car, 126 yds, 0 TD; 5 rec, 55 yds, 0 TD

Carey didn’t see much action on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. He only recorded one yard on one carry in Chicago’s 30-27 loss.

Will Parks, S (#34), Denver Broncos

2016 Stats: 16 tackles, 1 INT, 1 PBU

The rookie safety only recorded one tackle in Denver’s poor showing against the New England Patriots. The Broncos lost 16-3.

Nick Folk, K (#2), New York Jets

2016 Stats: FG: 23-for-26 with a long of 51 yards; PAT: 21-for-23

Folk was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts against the Dolphins on Saturday. He had a long of 48 yards and was also 1-for-1 on PATs.

Scooby Wright III, LB (#58), Arizona Cardinals

2016 Stats: None recorded

Scooby finally played in his first career NFL game Sunday, as the Cardinals lost to the New Orleans Saints 48-41. Scooby played on special teams and didn’t record any stats. However, he did throw a key block that sprang a 35-yard kick return by Brittan Golden.

Robert Golden, S (#21), Pittsburgh Steelers

2016 Stats: 34 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 PBU

Golden did not record any stats in Pittsburgh’s 24-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Marquis Flowers, LB (#53), Cincinnati Bengals

2016 Stats: 7 tackles

Flowers did not record any stats in that loss to Golden’s Steelers.

Nick Foles, QB (#4), Kansas City Chiefs

2016 Stats: 36-for-55, 410 yds, 3 TD, 0 INT

Foles still patrolled the sideline behind Alex Smith.
