College basketball rankings: Arizona remains 10th in AP, moves up to 9th in Coaches poll

Not a lot of movement for the Cats

After taking down the Michigan State Spartans in Hawaii, the Arizona Wildcats didn’t exactly receive a huge bump in the rankings.

Arizona remains 10th in the AP Poll, and is now up to 9th in the Coaches poll after previously being ranked 11th.

The only top-ten team that lost last week was the Kansas Jayhawks, and that was an overtime defeat at the hands of the Indiana Hoosiers in the second game of the Armed Forces Classic. This is probably the biggest reason that Arizona didn’t get a huge bump anywhere. The Michigan State Spartans are now 13th in both polls.

Around the rest of the Pac-12, the Oregon Ducks are now up to 4th in both polls. The UCLA Bruins check in at No. 16 in both, and the California Golden Bears have jumped up to No. 25 in the AP poll.

The Wildcats do not face another ranked opponent until December 3rd when they take on the Gonzaga Bulldogs in Los Angeles. Gonzaga is ranked 14th in both polls.

Arizona takes the floor again on Tuesday when they host Cal State Bakersfield. The Cats and Roadrunners are scheduled to tip-off at 8 PM MT in McKale Center on Pac-12 Network.
