Arizona football recruiting: Junior college defensive lineman Matt Leo commits to Wildcats
Arizona adds another d-lineman with Australian Matt Leo
The Arizona Wildcats added a much needed defensive lineman on Friday and their 26th commitment in the 2017 class. Matt Leo, a 6-foot-7, 265 pound Australian, who plays for Arizona Western College, gave the 'Cats his pledge.
A rugby player by trade, Leo started playing football last year. However, he does have the tools to be a productive football player and he has a ton of upside. His other offers were from Iowa State and UCF, with Iowa State making a huge push for him.
He does intend to graduate in December and enroll at Arizona in January. He joins Braxton Burmeister, Darrian McNeal, Tony Fields, and Delshawn Phillips as Arizona's early enrollees for the 2017 class.
Arizona Western’s Matt Leo told the Star that he’s verbally committed to the #ArizonaWildcats. Huge D-end is Arizona’s 26th commit for 2017.

Leo has ran a 4.77 second 40 yard dash before being taught how to properly run. He has also repped 225 pounds 28 times on bench. Vince Amey and Miguel Reveles were his primary recruiters.
