Sonoran Hot Reads: Arizona with the easiest schedule in the Pac-12?

Are the Wildcats set up well schedule-wise for a good year?

Even with the BYU game to open the year, the Arizona Wildcats still have a pretty uninspiring non-conference schedule in 2016. Combine that with most of the "tough" games at home this year, and you wind up with this take of Arizona having the weakest schedule in the entire conference. Honestly, it’s hard to disagree right now, but who knows how the Pac-12 will actually play out and who will be the toughest teams come October and November

- Arizona target Joseph Lewis was at The Opening last weekend. Here’s a ridiculous video of him being better than everyone else

- Anu Solomon and Nick Wilson were each named to their position’s watch list

Basketball

- Please let Arizona start recruiting 2018 prospect Bol Bol, because that is the best name that has ever existed

- Ryan Anderson will begin his professional career in Belgium

Baseball

- It appears Nick Quintana will make his way to Tucson, which is huge for the 2017 version of the Wildcats

- In recruits that won’t be on campus news, Nate Sweeney officially signed with the Cubs. JoJo Romero appears to be the only other drafted signee that chose pro ball over college

Pokemon

- Yes, SHR will have its own Pokemon section for now. Why? Because Bill Walton is wandering around San Diego hunting down the adorable little cartoon characters

- The Desert Museum will be hosting a Pokemon extravaganza on Saturday. Not to be outdone, Reid Park Zoo will have two of them next weekend

- First hand knowledge here: Hit up Tucson Hop Shop for tons of Pokemon. I must’ve caught ten there in five minutes

- Get prepped for fall semester with our complete list of Pokestops around athletics

- Uber drivers are cashing in on Pokemon Go

- With everyone going to Reid Park at night to play, apparently there were shooting threats made online, which resulted in more security

Tucson news

- As always, get your votes in for the second round of the Tucson Restaurant Tournament. Tons of close matchups going on right now

- Free adoptions at PACC this weekend. If you’re under 17, you can also swim for free

- There were a ton of car break-ins in Oro Valley
