Arizona football: Derrick Turituri is no longer with the Wildcats
It was hoped that Turituri would be a prime contributor to the team's defense in 2016
Arizona Wildcats linebacker Derrick Turituri is no longer with the program, according to Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star.
LB Derrick Turituri is no longer w/ the Arizona football program. Turituri started the 1st 4 games in 2015 before season-ending hip injury.

Relatedly, Turituri is no longer listed on the team's official roster, so this seems to be a done deal.
It was hoped that Turituri, who missed nine games in 2015 with a hip injury, would recover and become an integral part of the Wildcats' defense in 2016 as he was in 2014 as a sophomore.
That year, Turituri appeared in all 14 games and started eight of them while racking up 44 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks and a fumble recovery. His success as a sophomore is why many pegged him to be a breakout player in 2015, but obviously his injury prevented that from happening.
In four games in 2015, Turituri had 13 tackles and two tackles for loss.
It's not completely clear why Turituri won't return to the team, but it's not because of his injury.
