Arizona football recruiting: 2018 defensive end Andres Fox has Wildcats in top three after offer
Arizona is getting a huge lead on a top 2018 defensive end
The Arizona Wildcats have been sending offers out left and right as we approach the summertime. While the coaching staff seeks out commitments for their 2017 class, they're also getting a jump start on the 2018 class. Calvin Magee has extended into Mobile, Alabama, home of Andres Fox, 2018 defensive end out of Mobile Christian.
It's still extremely early in the 2018 recruiting class cycle, so Fox isn't ranked by any recruiting services yet, but that will change. His offer list includes Kentucky, NC State and West Virginia, while also picking up interest from Florida State.
"[Coach Magee] came to my practice and he liked what he saw. He talked to my head coach the next day and said he was offering me," Fox said about his recent Arizona offer. "I was very excited when I found out they offered me and I am really grateful I got this offer."

Arizona has been lacking size on the defensive line, and have been trying to address the issue in the past few recruiting classes. Andres Fox checks in at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds as a weak-side defensive end with an extremely versatile frame that puts him in position to play more of a hybrid role as well.
Still 19 months away from his National Signing Day, Fox has Arizona in his current top three, despite the heavy offer list. He will make it out to Tucson for an unofficial visit this summer to check out the campus and learn more about how he fits in with the program.
"I feel like I wouldn't be disappointed if I came to Arizona," he said. "I really like the school."
Mobile Christian finished the 2015 season with an 11-2 record. Fox plays quarterback, tight end and defensive end. His sophomore highlight tape is below.
