Sonoran Hot Reads: Larry Scott remains the highest paid conference commissioner

Definitely not earning that money

As Pac-12 Arizona ran no new content on Wednesday, the conference commissioner that set up that plan reached a new plateau. The much-maligned Larry Scott went over the $4 million per year mark last year, as the conference's revenues continued to increase. He's the first conference commissioner to reach this number. Maybe more ridiculous is that Pac-12 Networks president Lydia Murphy-Stevens is banking $1.25 million this year

- Is Oregon State/Minnesota really a more intriguing Week One game than Arizona/BYU? Really?

- Maybe it's because Anu Solomon is the 5th-best QB in the Pac-12, with only one other returning starter behind him

- No. 15 overall player and No. 2 WR Joseph Lewis says Arizona is one three schools he will take official visits to. Gabe has more recruiting news

- I chatted with Mile High Report to let Bronco fans know how lucky the are to have landed Will Parks

- Gronk gets bored with scoring beautiful women all the time and loves a little vodka cranberry to get the party started. Also, him doing ballet is pretty good stuff

- It seems like this Colorado WR guaranteed the Buffs will be in the Pac-12 Championship Game....okay

Basketball

- Andre Iguodala did a ridiculous thing at the end of the first half of Game Two against the Thunder

- The Warriors tried pranking Luke Walton into thinking that the Lakers fell out of the top three in the draft

- The addition of Channing Frye has made the Cavaliers a lot more dangerous

- Gabe York will workout for the Sacramento Kings, while Kaleb Tarczewski has visited the Indiana Pacers

Baseball

- D1Baseball is still projecting a Tucson Regional, with TCU, Long Beach State and Seattle coming to Hi Corbett. Baseball America has Arizona going to Fullerton to play the Titans as well as BYU and Fresno State

Another former Wildcat is back in MLB after the Angels brought Jett Bandy back up thanks to an injury to Geovany Soto

- Current Arizona catcher Cesar Salazar is ready to take on all the catching responsibilities heading into this final stretch

Other sports

- Pau Tonnesen was named the Pac-12 Field Athlete of the Year

- Track and field will be hosting some of the best throwers from across the country this weekend

Tucson news

- There's a grade-changing scandal going down at Tucson High

- The mall on campus is going to be transformed into a massive USS Arizona memorial
