Sonoran Hot Reads: Josh Jackson reportedly to decide Monday or Wednesday
Is this really going down?
As No. 1 recruit Josh Jackson continues to hold the hopes of three fanbases in the palm of his hands, another report of when he will actually make his decision has come around. Jackson has told Evan Daniels that an announcement is coming down next week:

Wednesday actually makes sense, since that is when the spring basketball signing period opens. Some people think that a decision might come down at Hoop Summit this weekend from Jackson or Terrance Ferguson, but as Bruce Pascoe points out, that's unlikely
- Jeff Borzello thinks Jackson is heading to Kansas
- What happens if Arizona doesn't land Jackson? Alec gave some updates on the other recruiting targets
- Sean Miller and Joe Pasternack visited with Marvin Bagley at a T.G.I Friday's right after the recruiting period opened up
- As we found out at the McDonald's Game, Ferguson will be taking a couple more visits before making his decision
- Chase Budinger seems happy to be playing basketball in Phoenix
- Not really a men's basketball story, but seems important to share that Pat Summitt's son had to resign from his head coaching job at Louisiana Tech because he impregnated one of his players
Football
- According to 247Sports, the Wildcats boast the 11th-best recruiting staff in the country. That's led us to wonder whether or not the 2017 class will be the best Arizona has ever seen
- This year's strength of schedule is not very high according to ESPN's FPI metrics
Baseball
- The Wildcats will be starting a three-game series against Washington State on Friday. Will the pitching staff succeed at home this weekend?
- Joey Rickard got a curtain call moment after his first home run with the Orioles, and is now hitting .455 in the Bigs

Other sports
- Track and field is very happy to have a new surface at Drachman Stadium. Pau Tonnesen got this weekend's events off to a nice start for Arizona
- Sand volleyball has a few matches in New Orleans this weekend
- Women's tennis will be on TV at 2 PM on Friday on Pac-12 Networks
Tucson news
