Sonoran Hot Reads: Allonzo Trier one of country's best players next year
His sophomore season could be something special
When Arizona announced that Allonzo Trier was officially coming back next year, all of the sudden the hype for the 2016-17 team grew even more. But how big is his return? ESPN ranks Trier as the country's 16th-best player for next season, right behind Villanova's Kris Jenkins, who just hit one of the biggest shots in college basketball history. The top player next year? Duke's Harry Giles
- With Trier coming back, Arizona checks in at No. 12 in ESPN's way-too-early Top 25. The Wildcats are also 20-1 to win the National Championship right now
Football
- Tuesday was a big recruiting day for Arizona. They earned commitments from Kylan Wilborn and Kurtis Brown
- Elijah Blades also told Rivals that Arizona is the new leader to earn his services
- Another name to keep an eye on is Thomas Graham. The four-star corner decommitted from USC
- Cam Denson could be poised for a big year now that he's on the offensive side of the ball
Softball
- Softball plays a Wednesday double-header against New Mexico State at 4 and 6 PM at Hillenbrand
