Sonoran Hot Reads: Anu Solomon feels he has plenty to prove

Last year may be a blessing in disguise for Arizona's 2016 season

It was a down year for the Arizona Wildcats in 2015, some of it caused by injuries, some of it caused by recruiting deficiencies, and some of it cause by coaching deficiencies. That's led some people to wonder about the quarterback situation moving forward, and Anu Solomon knows he has plenty to prove. "Oh, heck yeah," Solomon told ESPN's Ted Miller. "We -- myself -- have lots to prove. We were, as you said, Pac-12 South champions. We were held to a high standard last year and we fell down." The piece by Miller is an interesting look at Solomon's numbers and the offense in general as they look to find improvement this spring.

- One guy who's doing Arizona workouts on his own is Tristan Cooper, and he doesn't seem to be a fan

- Not officially announced, but new recruiting director Chris Singletary is in Tucson, and his Twitter bio would seem to indicate it is official

- Cam Denson is feeling much happier now that he's on the offensive side of the ball

Basketball

- Check out this mixtape of 2017 Arizona target Trevon Duval

- We rolled out our very own bracketology thanks to Matt Sheeley. Plenty of people are mad that he made Arizona a 5-seed, but it's still higher than Lunardi

- No one really knows how good the Pac-12, or really any other conference, is this year

- Stacey Augmon is telling people he wants to be UNLV's next head coach, a job that Joe Pasternack is being considered for

Baseball

- Tyler Crawford's return might be the most interesting story surrounding the team heading into opening weekend

Softball

- Gabe caught up with Mike Candrea to get some insight into Arizona's perfect weekend

- Katiyana Mauga is ESPNW's 20th-best player in all of college softball. Plenty of Pac-12 talent on that list
