Pac-12 Basketball Power Rankings: Arizona regains the top spot, Utah surging

We've moved the Wildcats back on top

After a couple weeks of Oregon holding down the top spot in our staff Pac-12 Power Rankings, Arizona has finally moved back up to the top thanks to five-straight wins and Oregon struggling in the Bay Area last week.

We had nine voters this week. One point is awarded for 1st place votes, two points for second and so on.

Without further ado, here's how this week's voting turned out:

This was the most movement we've seen in a while in our rankings. Arizona and Utah are the two hottest teams in the conference, so it's not really too much of a reach to move them up one spot each. Oregon and USC both getting swept certainly plays into those moves as well.

Oregon State moving up a couple of spots is the one weird thing about this week that I don't really understand how that happened, but they have won three of their last four since losing in Tucson.

The Beavers travel to Eugene on Saturday, as the Sun Devils come to Tucson on Wednesday. Cal will be looking for its first conference road win when the Bay Area schools go to Washington. USC will have an interesting time getting things turned around, as the L.A. schools host the mountains.
