Sonoran Hot Reads: Two Arizona players named USA Softball's Female Athletes of the Year

We all know the Arizona Wildcats are among the gold standards in the softball world, but Tuesday reaffirmed that as USA Softball named two Cats as their Female Athletes of the Year. Former Wildcat Kellie Fox earned Femaie Athlete of the Year, while star freshman Alyssa Palomino was named Junior Femaie Athlete of the Year. Unfortunately for Arizona fans, Palomino is out with an ACL injury she suffered during fall practice. Fox hit .348 for Team USA in 14 games, while Palomino broke many Junior Women's World Cup records at the dish

- This year's softball team is up to 9th in the rankings ahead of a big weekend in Palm Springs

Basketball

- It's Rivalry Day in the Old Pueblo as ASU makes their way down for a game on Wednesday night. If you're going to the game, we have some suggestions for Bobby Hurley-themed signs that you're more than welcome to use
