Pac-12 Basketball Power Rankings: Top five create separation with two weeks left

We mostly agreed on all of this.

For the first time all season, there was a general consensus on every team in the Pac-12 in our power rankings voting.

We had six voters for this week's ranking, and we all had just about every team within two spots of each other. So there you have it, it only takes until there are two weeks left in the regular season to know what is happening.

Here's how this week's voting played out, with one point for 1st place votes, two for 2nd place votes and so on.

Rank (change from last week's voting) Team (Pac-12 record) Points
1 (0) Arizona Wildcats (10-4) 6
2 (0) Oregon Ducks (10-4) 13
3 (0) Utah Utes (10-5) 17
4 (+2) California Golden Bears (9-5) 26
5 (-1) USC Trojans (8-6) 28
6 (-1) Colorado Buffaloes (8-7) 38
7 (0) Washington Huskies (8-7) 44
8 (+1) UCLA Bruins (6-8) 47
9 (-2) Oregon State Beavers (6-8) 52
10 (0) Stanford Cardinal (6-8) 61
11 (0) Arizona State Sun Devils (4-10) 64
12 (0) Washington State Cougars (1-14) 72

Cal is the big mover this week after winning its first two road games of the year. Cal and Utah are two teams outside of Arizona that seem to be getting hot at the right time, and could be poised to make a run deep into March, or lose to some random conference champ in the first round.

For the first time, we were largely consensus, and for the first time, we are aligned with the true conference standings. So you see, it all shakes out in the end. It's just an interesting journey to get there.

The four nights in Vegas for the Pac-12 Tournament is going to be amazing. Be sure to let us know if you'll be there as we'll be trying to put together a hang or two on the strip that weekend!
