Pac-12 Basketball Power Rankings: Oregon, Arizona and USC clear top three

The top three are easy. The rest of the conference? Well....

It was pretty clear after last week that there were three teams separating themselves from the rest of the conference.

One week later, and zero losses between those three teams, that gap feels a bit larger, even if the actual standings don't show that just yet.

With six voters this week, and giving one point for 1st place votes, two points for 2nd and so on, here are our Pac-12 Power Rankings with just four weeks left in the regular season:

Rank (change from last week's ranking) Team (Pac-12 record) Points
1 (0) Oregon Ducks (9-2) 7
2 (+1) Arizona Wildcats (7-4) 12
3 (-1) USC Trojans (7-3) 17
4 (0) Utah Utes (6-5) 32
5 (0) Colorado Buffaloes (6-5) 33
6 (0) Washington Huskies (7-4) 35
7 (-1) California Golden Bears (5-5) 39
8 (0) UCLA Bruins (4-6) 47
9 (0) Oregon State Beavers (5-6) 49
10 (-1) Stanford Cardinal (4-6) 60
11 (0) Arizona State Sun Devils (3-8) 65
12 (0) Washington State Cougars (1-10) 72

As you can see, the middle of the group is pretty much interchangeable, with just seven points separating 4-7. But there also weren't any real changes other than teams that were tied last week no longer being tied, with the exception of Arizona and USC trading spots.

So while many people don't really know what to do with the Pac-12, at least we're starting to show a little consistency in our thoughts as a collective group.

This week, the L.A. schools come to Arizona, the Oregons go to the Bay Area, and the Washingtons are going to the Mountains.

Some big games on deck. Could be a season-defining week for the Huskies, who we're still not sold on as being a top-four team in this conference. But come away with wins at Colorado and Utah, and that could be a different story.
