Sonoran Hot Reads: Kobi Simmons has Arizona in final three schools

Maybe a late run at one of the top 2016 prospects?

Sean Miller and the Arizona Wildcats still have a few moves to make in the 2016 recruiting class apparently. With the upheaval at UNLV, the 18th-ranked prospect in the 2016 class, Kobi Simmons, has decided to include Arizona in his final three schools

It seems likely that Simmons is headed to Ohio State, but Wildcat fans have hope again

- Also on the basketball recruiting front, Harry Froling is in Tucson this week

- Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar remembers what it was like to see Allonzo Trier back in fourth grade. Unfortunately, Sean Miller will be searching for ways to replace his star freshman this week

- Arizona dropped 16 spots to 21st in ESPN's national power rankings, the biggest freefall of any team

Football

- According to the Wall Street Journal, Arizona is the 44th-most valuable college football program in the country

- Nick Foles is moving closer to Tucson as the Rams are officially heading back to Los Angeles. They'll join USC in the Coliseum until they have a new stadium built

- It's way too early to talk about next year, but Arizona is 10th in the way-too-early ESPN power rankings for 2016. It's way too early because Arizona has to find an entirely new defensive coaching staff after Matt Caponi left for West Virginia on Tuesday
