Arizona basketball: Allonzo Trier has a broken fourth metacarpal, could miss 4-6 weeks, per report
Things just went from bad to worse
The Arizona Wildcats just got swept by the Los Angeles schools this week, and now things could get even worse as star freshman guard Allonzo Trier has a broken fourth metacarpal on his shooting hand, per Jason Scheer of WildcatAuthority.com
Sources say Allonzo Trier has a broken fourth metacarpal on his shooting hand. Could be out for 4-6 weeks.

Trier is Arizona's leading scorer, as he's averaging 14.8 points per game, and he just dropped 25 points in the quadruple overtime loss to USC on Saturday. He's also scored at least 20 points in three of the last four games, and was becoming a consistently dominant scorer, so the timing of this injury is unfortunate.
It's not quite clear when the injury occurred, though my guess would be when he was stripped while trying to get a shot up as time expired in regulation.
With Elliott Pitts still out due to "personal reasons" and now Trier likely out for at least a month or two, Justin Simon and Parker Jackson-Cartwright really need to step up for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats' next game is on Thursday against the Washington Huskies at McKale Center. The Huskies are at the top of the Pac-12 with a 3-0 record, and Arizona will need all hands on deck to avoid a 1-3 start to conference play.
