Arizona football recruiting roundup: Wildcats staff active in December
The Arizona coaching staff has been making their rounds
This has been a busy December for the Arizona Wildcats coaching staff, and they've been visiting commits and potential recruits for the past two weeks now. Along with the visits, have come some offers, and even one decommit. Things are starting to pick up for the staff, as they have 16 recruits for the class of 2016, and is now ranked 37th in the nation.
Coaching staff visits 4-star JUCO defensive end Josh "JJ" Allen
Remember when JJ Allen de-committed from Arizona just over a month ago? Well, now Arizona is back in the picture. He had an in-house visit from WR Coach Tony Dews, and things seemed to have gone well.
Good visit from coach dews he said some real things tonight . And appreciate everything he had to tell me . And he beat me in madden

I got a chance to talk to him, and I feel very confident in the fact that Allen will commit with Arizona. He will be taking an official visit this weekend on December 11th. He's the immediate boost on the defensive line that Arizona needs, and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Coach Michalczik visits Bryson Cain
While the coaching staff was in California, they hit up Temecula, and visited 3-star OT commit Bryson Cain.
Thanks @FBCoachM for the great home visit last night! #BearDown http://pic.twitter.com/OUp8tRF8Gv
— Bryson Cain (@CainBryson) December 2, 2015
I really like Cain, and I really like his 6-5, 265lb frame. Arizona has been storing up some nice offensive line recruits and they're all in development. I would expect Cain to develop no differently than some of the up-and-coming guys like Jacob Alsadek, Layth Friekh, Levi Walton, and Alex Kosinski, and that doesn't even mention guys like Michael Eletise and Keenan Walker, who have yet to set foot on campus.
4-star offensive guard Michael Eletise gets visit from Coach Charlie Ragle and Rich Rodriguez
Speaking of Michael Eletise, he got a visit from Rich Rodriguez and Charlie Ragle, who he says is the most inspirational coach he's ever had.
Welcomed to the family!! Amazing night to have @CoachRodAZ and @RagleCharlie at my house. #BearDown #WildcatLife http://pic.twitter.com/V5WvzmWudI
— Michael Eletise (@MichaelEletise) November 30, 2015
The trip out to Hawaii is what kicked off this recruiting rampage. Earlier this week, Eletise also got his bid to the Under Armour All-America Game.
Rich Rodriguez heads up to Washington to visit 3-star safety commit and his coaches
After Hawaii, Rodriguez made his way over to Seattle to go visit safety commit Gavin Robertson.

I love what Robertson has to offer, and can't wait to see him in an Arizona jersey. I feel like he's been severely underrated in the recruiting process, once being dubbed as a 2-star recruit, but he's been climbing the ranks since then.
Arizona offers 4-star receiver Dez Fitzpatrick
Arizona might be in the mix for a top receiver, as they offered Dez Fitzpatrick earlier this week.
Blessed to say I've been offered by Arizona! #Pac12 http://pic.twitter.com/f1NjwKetBD
— Dez Fitzpatrick0⃣1⃣ (@dezfitz8) November 30, 2015
A 4-star receiver, Fitzpatrick is ranked 53rd among all receivers, and 9th in the state of Michigan. He's very interested in Nebraska, Michigan and Indiana, but will schedule a visit to Tucson on January 14th. Coming out to the Pac-12, in a Rich Rodriguez offense, with this weather, might not be a bad look.
Arizona visits 3-star defensive tackle Cameron Murray
Fear not about the Jabari Watson decommittment. Arizona had offered Cameron Murray out of Little Rock, Arkansas, early in the summer, and have been in talks for quite some time now. The 3-star defensive tackle checks in at 6-2 280lbs, and has offers to Kansas and Louisiana Tech, and has been flirting with Arkansas.
Good visit from Arizona today #BearDown
— Big Cam (@CamCam700) November 30, 2015
Given the decommitment of Watson, and the in-home visit from the coaches, I like Murray's chances of committing to Arizona, but I also haven't been in contact with him in the past two months or so.
Arizona offers 3-star JUCO linebacker Kapri Doucet
Arizona could be getting some immediate help at linebacker, as they offered 3-star JUCO Kapri Doucet.
Blessed to have received an offer from the university of Arizona http://pic.twitter.com/8hNF8XacUz
— KAPRI DOUCET (@hit_squad_4) December 2, 2015
He's a 6-3 225lb linebacker, ranked 10th at his position, and 173rd nationally. I had a phone call with him as soon as he was offered and I will have an in-depth interview with him posted soon, so look out for that.
Coach Rod Smith visits 3-star corner Terrell Burgess
Arizona's secondary is anemic in talent, and Terrell Burgess is someone who could help solve that issue.
Great Visit with Arizona tonight! Thank you for coming out! http://pic.twitter.com/cBAGKuC7ou
— #⃣BURGESS5⃣™ (@TiTaniumT98) December 3, 2015
Last I talked to Burgess, he said that Utah was a school of interest, but wouldn't give an exact order. So as of now, it's likely down to Arizona and Utah, and this is a recruitment to keep an eye on.
Head Coach Rich Rodriguez visits 4-star quarterback Khalil Tate
The head man in charge went out to Gardena, CA to visit his future 4-star quarterback Khalil Tate.

— Serra Football (@Serra__Football) December 3, 2015
The quarterback situation could get interesting this spring, as Tate will enroll at Arizona early, and start classes this January, giving him a head start.
3-star corner commit Isaiah Hayes gets a visit
Another visit, this time it's Isaiah Hayes. Rich Rodriguez made his way to Calabasas.
Had a great time with my coaches! January is right around the corner. Truly Blessed http://pic.twitter.com/2gMzlBIoS7
— Isaiah C. Hayes (@Hayes_Era30) December 2, 2015
Given the current depth at corner, Hayes might be able to come in as a true freshman and play. We saw two true freshmen in Sammy Morrison and Jace Whittaker start this year, so that's a decent indication as to how the corner situation is looking.
4-star quarterback Devon Modster will visit Arizona
Arizona is going to have a stockpile of quarterbacks next fall, and you would think that Devon Modster gets a shot at the starting role. He didn't get a visit, even though he is from the Los Angeles area, but he did announce when he's coming to Tucson on his official visit.
Excited for my official visit to U of A on Jan 15 ⬇️ #BearDown #GoWildcats
— devon modster (@DModster) December 3, 2015
Arizona recruiting is starting to heat up right now, and there's going to be a lot of action in the near future. A lot of visits are coming up for some recruits, some as soon as December 11th, and some going through January. With 16 commits in the class right now, Arizona has a lot of room, and might be getting a decent amount of recruits as we get closer to signing day.
2-star linebacker Kaelin Himphill gets visit from Coach Matt Caponi
Arizona seems to be fairly active in the linebacker market, and went out to visit 2-star linebacker Kaelin Himphill out of Portland, Oregon.
Thank you @coach_horsepwr for stopping by and seeing me this afternoon! Safe travels back to Arizona!
— Kaelin (@K_linHimphill) December 4, 2015
I will be talking to him soon, hopefully, and will get more info on his recruitment.
