Pacific vs. Arizona: Wildcats tip off 2015-16 season against Tigers

The Pacific Tigers come to McKale to officially begin the 2015-2016 campaign

The Arizona Wildcats open the 2015-16 season officially Friday night (Sunday's game against Chico State was an exhibition) when the Pacific Tigers come to Tucson. Here's how you can keep up with the 'Cats and some things to know:

How to Watch

Time: 7:30 PM MST

TV: Pac-12 Networks

Streaming: Pac-12.com or on the Pac-12 Now app on iOS and Android

What to Watch

Arizona plays Pacific on Friday night. The Tigers will be missing three players due to a NCAA investigation, Eric Thompson and Alec Kobre are both starters.

Pacific is in the same conference as San Francisco, which is where Mark Tollefsen transferred from. Pacific had a difficult time handling Tollefsen last season. In three games, he scored 48 points with a high of 24, and the Dons won all three games.

Arizona has played Pacific four times in the past, the most recent meeting being in 1976. Arizona won that game 78-60, and holds a 3-1 record overall against the Tigers. Arizona shouldn't have a problem with a Pacific team that only had 12 wins last season.

Something to watch will be who starts and then how Sean Miller will sub. Allonzo Trier played well Sunday night and should see more playing time. Gabe York impressed as well, showing that he isn't just a perimeter threat. Might want to watch to see if Sean Miller gives him more responsibility on the offensive end.

After having god knows how many dunks Sunday night, it'll be interesting to see if the Cats will keep it up Friday.

The final question is, can Arizona score 100?
