Arizona Bowl Projections: Wildcats likely to land mid-tier bowl game
Things are still uncertain, but at least there's a little more consistency this time around
Last week, the five projections had the Arizona Wildcats going to four different bowl games, with the only repeated bowl being the Sun Bowl. If you want to see the change from last week, here it is.
Well, CBS Sports still has Arizona going to the Sun Bowl, and SB nation still has the Wildcats in the Cactus Bowl, but the opponent has changed from West Virginia to Texas Tech, darn.
Mark Schlabach thinks highly of the Cats, putting them in the Alamo Bowl vs. Oklahoma, who is currently ranked 17th in the nation. That might not go so well for Arizona. His colleague Brett McMurphy keeps it a little more realistic, and has Arizona headed to the Holiday Bowl, facing Penn State, a much better match up.
Bleacher Report started coming out with their projections, and they have Arizona up against Boise State in a bowl game rematch.
Without further notice, here's the updated projections after week 7.
Site | Bowl | Opponent | Date | Location |
SB Nation |
Cactus |
Texas Tech | January 2nd | Tempe, AZ |
CBS Sports | Sun | Louisville | December 26th | El Paso, TX |
