NAU vs. Arizona: Three keys to a Wildcats win over the Lumberjacks

Let's cheers to an Arizona win

Cheers and CSI actor Ted Danson wasn't born in Flagstaff, but he was raised there according to his Wikipedia page, which of course, makes him this week's celebrity for Three Keys.

The beauty of using Ted Danson this week is that there are so many options of things he's been in to use as the Three Keys.

Anyways, let's get to how the Arizona Wildcats will handle in-state foe Northern Arizona on Saturday night in Arizona Stadium.

1. The One I Love

This one goes out to both sides of the ball, and both guys with the last name Jones. Of course, I'm talking about Cayleb Jones and Tellas Jones. Cayleb is going to be matched up against either senior star Marcus Alford, or freshman Maurice Davison. Obviously, if he's going up against Davison, who is 5-9, 160 pounds, the ball should be going to Cayleb each and every time that matchup presents itself.

On the flip side, Tellas Jones showed his importance to the defense last week against Nevada after being suspended for the UTSA game. He personally had five tackles, and the safeties as a whole looked totally different with him in there. For Arizona to slow down NAU's passing attack, Tellas will need to be involved and doing well in pass coverage from the get go.

2. Damages

A lot of defensive playmakers are injured heading into this game, and with the Lumberjacks' strong suit being their offense, NAU might be able to take advantage of this. I mean, we're looking at Tre Tyler, a walk-on redshirt freshman, starting at MLB the week before Pac-12 play starts. The Wildcats will have to weather all these damages to the defensive side of the ball this week, and keep from breaking against Case Cookus.

3. Saving Private Ryan

The NAU placekicker's name is Ryan Hawkins. Let's hope that head coach Jerome Souers ends up saving him for their game against Montana next week. Hawkins is also their punter. Let's hope his punt protection team is having to save him many times throughout the night.
