Sonoran Hot Reads: Pac-12 gets ready for Week Three

What's going on around the conference?

There wasn't a ton of Arizona news on Thursday besides the latest injury report, so let's take a look at some of the things going on around the rest of the Pac-12, where conference play starts somewhat this weekend...

- ASU is looking to find some explosive offensive plays, which is definitely something they've been missing through the first two weeks

- Oregon State is sending recruits comic books, which is probably the most awesome thing I've ever seen in football recruiting

- UCLA is looking to finally get some sacks of the quarterback. In fact, the entire Pac-12 is having an extremely hard time getting to opposing quarterbacks this year, which could certainly bode well for Anu Solomon. The lack of defensive pressure is starting to wear on the Oregon defensive line

- Cal travels to Texas this week, which is where they can finally assert themselves as a legitimate program

- Apparently Devontae Booker was supposed to go to Fresno State. Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, Utah and Booker are coming for them this week, and you know he'll want to shove it down their throats

- The best NAU preview you'll find anywhere this week is our Q&A with the Voice of the Lumberjacks, Mitch Strohman

Here are a bunch of notes for the Colorado/Colorado State matchup

Other sports

Softball's fall schedule has been released

- Wildcat Wednesday's main topic was Greg Byrne explaining why Pac-12 Networks isn't on DirecTV yet

Tucson news

- A pedestrian was struck and killed on Benson Hwy Wednesday night

Less than half of Arizona high school grads are able to enroll at the three in-state universities

Stop vandalizing things on the east side

- The roads are so much worse with the buses back doing bus things
