College football rankings: Arizona moves to 19th in Coaches' poll

Slowly creeping up

The Arizona Wildcats were much more impressive in week two than week one, but that didn't translate exactly that way in the coaches' poll.

Arizona moves from 20th to 19th after crushing the Nevada Wolf Pack on the road. Last week, they moved from 22nd to 20th in this poll.

Here's a look at the full top 25, along with the current Massey rankings (Massey changes throughout the week as more polls come out):

Coaches Massey
1 Ohio State (62) Ohio State
2 Alabama (1) Alabama
3 TCU TCU
4 Michigan State Georgia
5 Baylor Baylor
6 Florida State Oregon
7 USC Florida State
8 Georgia Michigan State
9 Clemson Ole Miss
10 Notre Dame Georgia Tech
11 Ole Miss USC
12 UCLA Clemson
13 Oregon UCLA
14 LSU Auburn
15 Auburn LSU
16 Georgia Tech Oklahoma
17 Oklahoma Notre Dame
18 Texas A&M Texas A&M
19 Arizona Missouri
20 Missouri Wisconsin
21 Utah Kansas State
22 BYU Mississippi State
23 Wisconsin Arkansas
24 Northwestern Utah
25 Oklahoma State

Arizona

USC, UCLA, and Oregon all find themselves in the top 13 after impressive wins by the L.A. schools, and a tough road loss for the Ducks to the now-number-four Michigan State Spartans. Utah also stays in the rankings, hanging out at 21.

Of course, this poll won't matter when November rolls around and the College Football Playoff committee starts releasing their weekly rankings. But for now, it's a decent barometer to gauge Arizona's place nationally, and the Wildcats are slowly moving up the list.
