Arizona Wildcats, NIKE extend agreement through 2025

Plenty of swoosh in our future

In Greg Byrne's weekly Wildcat Wednesday newsletter, he announced that the Arizona Wildcats and NIKE have extended their apparel agreement through the 2025 academic year.

"We're thrilled that a brand like NIKE, which dominates the collegiate apparel space, considered Arizona a priority and we were able to generate an extension that will be beneficial for both parties moving forward," Byrne said in the statement. "Through conversations with student-athletes, coaches and staff, we concluded that NIKE was the preferred apparel company for the University of Arizona. This was confirmed by a peer institution who recently conducted a survey of student-athletes, resulting in an overwhelming majority stating that their brand of choice was NIKE."

"NIKE has been an excellent partner of ours for a number of years," Byrne added. "We're happy that we'll continue representing the ‘Swoosh' along with so many of the top athletics departments around the country."

This is probably a big deal for recruiting, as Adidas has not exactly had positive feedback on a lot of the uniforms they've rolled out lately. It also keeps Arizona different from Arizona State, as the Sun Devils are now an Adidas school.

It also hopefully means that new football uniforms are on their way next year, which I believe they are.
