Arizona football countdown: 20 days, the average scoring margin in the 1929 season

The most dominating season in Arizona history

With 20 days left until Arizona Wildcats football, it was tough to find something related to the number 20.

What I found was the largest single season scoring margin in program history was 20 points, which happened way back in 1929.

That game against Cal Tech was also the first game ever played in Arizona Stadium.

While it's unlikely we'll ever see that kind of dominance again, it's fun to think about. Imagine going through a college football season, and you only give up points twice. How great would that be?
