Arizona football countdown: 17 days, the number of yards per completion for Anu Solomon against UNLV
One of the lesser known records set that day
When the Arizona Wildcats opened 2014 with a demolition of the UNLV Rebels, there were many records set by Anu Solomon and the offense.
One of those that went down was the average yards per completion in a single game. With his 25 completions going for 425 yards, Anu's 17 yards per completion were a new Arizona single game record with more than 20 completions.
One of those completions was a 92-yard TD pass to Austin Hill, which of course helps out that completion average. Also tying it in to the 17 day countdown to the start of football? Hill finished his Arizona career with 17 total TDs.
Nick Wilson was involved in that game as well, reeling off an 85-yard TD run. That was the first of 17 TDs for Wilson in 2014.
17s everywhere!
There are two and a half weeks left until this year's season-opener, and there's a chance that this Solomon record goes down, as he has shown more ability with the deep ball so far in this year's camp.
We'll see, but in just 17 days!
