How Arizona Wildcats fared in Week 6 of NFL season

Week 6 of the NFL season is in the books—or at least the games that feature Arizona Wildcats are.

Here’s a recap of how they fared.

Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Gronk scored his first touchdown since 2018—and his first TD as a Buc—when he caught a back-shoulder fade from Tom Brady in the 38-10 win over the Packers.

Gronk finished with five catches for a team-high 78 yards, his best game of the season so far.

Nick Foles, Chicago Bears

Foles didn’t have a great game, but the Bears continue to win, beating the Carolina Panthers 23-16 on the road to improve to 5-1.

Foles completed 23 of 39 passes for 198 yards, a touchdown and an interception—a QB rating of 70.3. He also scored on a QB sneak that put Chicago up 20-6 with 1:44 left in the third quarter.

ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson wrote that Foles played “solid, not spectacular football.”

“Foles sometimes makes bad decisions,” he wrote. “The veteran quarterback floated a terrible pass into tight coverage that Carolina easily intercepted in a key moment. Usually, Foles is smart with the football. The 31-year-old sees the field well and understands where receivers are supposed to be, and a testament to that is seven different Bears caught passes on Sunday. The Bears trust Foles. That’s unlikely to change any time soon — even though the offense leaves a lot to be desired.”

Will Parks, Philadelphia Eagles

Parks was active for the first time this season after missing the first five games with a hamstring injury. He had three tackles in a 30-28 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, seeing some snaps in Philly’s nickel package.

Parks is from Philadelphia so he had a large family contingent in the stands:

Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, San Francisco 49ers

DFF recorded a tackle in a special teams role as the Niners held off the Rams 24-16 on Sunday Night Football.

Nick Folk, New England Patriots

Folk made both of his field-goal attempts in New England’s 18-12 loss to Denver—one from 41 yards and one from 38 yards. He’s now 7 for 9 on field goals this year.

J.J. Taylor, New England Patriots

Taylor was inactive for the first time this season. Maybe that’s why the Patriots only mustered 288 total yards.

Jace Whittaker, Arizona Cardinals

Whittaker is on Arizona’s practice squad.
