Louisiana is home to one of the Arizona Wildcats’ two commitments in the 2021 recruiting class, and another prospect from the state is showing major interest in joining him.
Tyrell Raby, a 3-star cornerback from Baton Rouge, has included the UA among his top 10 schools.

The Wildcats are the only school west of Houston to make the cut for the 5-foot-11, 173-pound Raby, who is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 643 player in the 2021 recruiting class. He’s the No. 49 cornerback in the country and the 18th-best player in Louisiana.
Arizona offered Raby in early April, one of dozens of scholarship offers the program has made during the coronavirus-mandated in-person recruiting shutdown.
It’s unknown when Raby plans to make a commitment, but if he were to pick Arizona he’d be the second Louisiana player in the 2021 class alongside 3-star New Orleans linebacker Kolbe Cage, who became the UA’s first pledge on May 5. Cage is the No. 29 prospect in Louisiana.
