Arizona among finalists for Santa Clara transfer Trey Wertz, who will commit Saturday

Santa Clara transfer Trey Wertz has narrowed his list of finalists again, and the Arizona Wildcats remain the hunt.
His final four consists of Arizona, Butler, North Carolina and Notre Dame, according to Stockrisers. Wertz will make his decision Saturday. All three Crystal Ball predictions believe he will pick Notre Dame.

Averaged nearly 12 points per game during his sophomore season on 47% shooting. Hit 50 three’s. Two seasons left.
Wertz has two years of eligibility left and will have to sit out the 2020-21 season barring a successful waiver request and/or NCAA rule change.
The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 11.9 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.5 rebounds this season, shooting 49 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3.
Arizona is also in the mix for another 6-foot-4 guard, San Francisco graduate transfer Charles Minlend. The Wildcats have four scholarship slots to fill assuming Josh Green declares for the NBA Draft as expected.
