There has been a lot of history this season for the Arizona Wildcats and that continued on Sunday afternoon.

Aari McDonald scored 22 points and Dominique McBryde added a season-high 19 as No. 12 Arizona won 65-58 at No. 9 Oregon State for its first-ever road win over a Top 10 team.

The Wildcats (19-4, 8-4) Pac-12 avenged a last-second 63-61 home loss to the Beavers (19-5, 7-4) in January and snapped a 12-game losing streak against OSU, winning in Corvallis for the first time since 2012.

Cate Reese’s two free throws with 2:56 left in OT gave Arizona the lead for good at 58-56, Sam Thomas’ 3-pointer with 1:16 to go making it a two-possession edge at 61-56. It was the only points of the weekend for Thomas.

McDonald was 8 of 23 from the field but added nine rebounds while McBryde made 7 of 10 shots and had eight boards and Reese added 13. The Wildcats shot only 34.9 percent but held OSU to 39 percent shooting, including 25 percent in the second half and OT.

Arizona improved to 3-4 this season against Top 10 teams, rebounding from Friday’s 85-52 blowout loss at No. 3 Oregon.

The Wildcats next play Friday at McKale Center against Washington, with four of their last six games at home.
