The Arizona Wildcats do not have a McDonald’s All-American this year, but alumnus Richard Jefferson is trying his best to change that.
The 2020 McDAAG rosters were announced Thursday during ESPN’s show The Jump, which the retired Jefferson serves an analyst for, and he used the opportunity to recruit Jalen Green and Ziaire Williams, the top uncommitted prospects, to Arizona.
“C’mon Jalen, come to Arizona. Join the family, Jalen,” Jefferson said during the broadcast. “C’mon Ziaire. Come to Arizona. It’s a great life, great living out there in Tucson. Every game is sold out all the time.”

Could it actually work? The Wildcats don’t have much of a shot to land Green but they are one of five (or seven?) schools in the hunt for Williams, a top-5 prospect.
Williams is an especially critical target for Arizona since he’s the last uncommitted five-star recruit to be seriously considering the Wildcats. So far, their two commits are from four-star prospects Dalen Terry and Ben Mathurin, a class that is not as highly-ranked as the Wildcats are used to but would leap all the way into the top 10 if Williams jumps on board.
So, listen to RJ, Ziaire. He certainly knows a thing or two about maximizing the college experience.
