Arizona center Chase Jeter out vs. Colorado due to back injury

NCAA Basketball: St. John at Arizona Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

Chase Jeter will miss his second straight game Saturday when the Arizona Wildcats host the Colorado Buffaloes.

Jeter is sidelined with back spasms, suffered in practice earlier this week. The team has listed him as day-to-day, but is taking a cautious approach with him knowing his history of back injuries.

Jeter missed two games with back spasms last season and half of his sophomore season with a more serious back ailment.

Redshirt senior Stone Gettings will likely start in his place again. He had seven points in a season-high 28 minutes Thursday in the blowout win over Colorado, though zero defensive rebounds. That will have to change Saturday as the Buffaloes are one of the top rebounding teams in the Pac-12.

Tip-off is set for 12:30 p.m. MST on FOX.
