One of the Arizona Wildcats players who announced his departure from the program immediately after the 2019 season ended has already figured out where he’ll be playing in 2020.

Dayven “Day Day” Coleman, a redshirt freshman linebacker, is set to play for FCS school Stephen F. Austin next season.

Coleman appeared in all 12 games for Arizona this past season in a reserve role, registering 10 tackles including half a tackle for loss. In 2018 he appeared in four games as a safety, making 11 tackles with 1.5 TFL.

A former 3-star prospect from Dallas, Coleman originally picked Arizona over offers from Colorado, Illinois and Kansas State. He had previously been committed to UCLA.

Coleman is the second UA player who left the program since the summer to have found a new home. Redshirt freshman wide receiver Thomas Marcus, who left the team during preseason camp, transferred to Montana State.

Three other transfers—graduate transfer safety Chacho Ulloa, redshirt freshman tight end Jake Peters and true freshman cornerback Maurice Gaines—have yet to announce their future plans.
