Sean Miller said in September that Doutrive is one of Arizona’s most improved players and he has twice won the gold jersey in practice this fall, so this is an unfortunate development.
The Southern California native averaged 3.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest in 26 games last year and initially planned on transferring from Arizona before a late change of heart. He is expected to be a key piece off the bench.
The Wildcats are also without freshman forward Zeke Nnaji, who is sidelined with an ankle injury.
