The Arizona Wildcats aren’t the only Pac-12 team to get good news regarding a Kentucky transfer this week.

A day after Jemarl Baker Jr. was granted immediate eligibility at the UA, the NCAA granted former UK guard Quade Green immediate eligibility with the Washington Huskies, according to Pete Thamel of Yahoo! Sports.

The 6-foot Green was a five-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American out of high school in 2017. He averaged 9.0 points per game on .451/.385/.831 shooting in a season and a half at Kentucky. He opted to transfer midway through last season and would have had to sit out until the spring semester without the waiver.

Green is expected to start for a Washington squad that was originally picked to finish third in the Pac-12 preseason media poll, one spot ahead of Arizona.

The Huskies already have two freshmen who are projected to be first-round picks—Jaden McDaniels and Isaiah Stewart—so having a full season from Green should only boost their chance of defending their Pac-12 title.
