Andre Iguodala scores playoff-high 17 points as Warriors eliminate Rockets

No Kevin Durant, no problem.

Andre Iguodala scored 17 points Friday as the Golden State Warriors used a big fourth quarter to beat the Houston Rockets 118-113 and advance to the Western Conference Finals for the fifth straight year.

Iguodala’s 17 points are the most he’s scored throughout the playoffs. The Arizona product shot 6 for 11 from the field and made five 3s. He also had three assists and five steals.

The Steve Kerr-led Warriors outscored Houston 36-26 in the fourth quarter after trailing by five entering the period.

With Channing Frye retiring, Iguodala is the last Lute Olson-coached player in the NBA. The 35-year-old is averaging 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game in the postseason.

The Warriors will next face the winner of Nuggets-Trail Blazers series, which is going to a seventh game in Denver. Durant, battling a calf injury, is scheduled to be evaluated next week.

Iguodala’s Game 6 highlights will be posted here when/if they become available.
