Dusan Ristic wins ABA League championship in Serbia

Dusan Ristic’s first season as a pro went pretty well.

The former Arizona Wildcats big man won an Adriatic Basketball Association championship on Monday when his team, KK Crvena zvezdaby, beat Budućnost in a decisive Game 5.

Ristic did not play in that game, but he has appeared in 36 games (two starts) in 2018-19, averaging 4.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 8.9 minutes, while shooting 52 percent from the field.

Ristic, 23, signed a multi-year deal with KK Crvena zvezda last summer.

KK Crvena zvezda, also known as Red Star Belgrade, is 39-13 overall and will now compete in the Basketball League of Serbia, which Ristic’s team has won the last two seasons.
