Arizona (24-7, 6-0 Pac-12) swept Oregon State in Corvallis. Taylor McQuillin, Hanah Bowen and Alyssa Denham all got wins for the ‘Cats. The recaps can be found in our softball section.
On Sunday, Denham threw the 92nd no-hitter in program history. It made for a great gift on her 21st birthday.
In the same game, Jessie Harper hit her 17th home run of the season to tie the NCAA lead. Harper hit four of them against OSU. Reyna Carranco extended her hit streak to 13-games on Sunday, a career-long for her.
No. 11 Arizona and No. 18 Arizona State start a three-game series on Friday at Hillenbrand Stadium.
Missouri transfer Rylee Pierce is starting to find her way after a slow start to the season.

The team keeps winning in the WNIT, and find themselves in the round of 16.
Wins over Idaho State and Pacific set up UA vs Idaho in the Round of 16 at McKale Center on Thursday.
Against Idaho State, Cate Reese became the first freshman in program history to score 20 points in postseason action, and was the first freshman to net a double-double in her first postseason game since Shawntinice Polk.
Aari McDonald became just the fourth player in Pac-12 history to surpass 800 points in a season.

Arizona (13-10, 2-4 Pac-12) needs pitching in the worst way. The ‘Cats were swept by No. 1 UCLA over the weekend, giving up double-digit runs in the first two games. The Wildcats then dropped the finale 3-1.
UA stays in California today as it heads down to face San Diego State on Monday. Arizona and ASU then take the diamond in Tempe over the weekend.
Star center fielder Matt Fraizer broke a bone in his right hand last week against Utah that will keep him benched for an unknown amount of time.
The ‘Cats beat New Mexico State 14-10 on Tuesday.

The Wildcats opened their spring season Sunday with a 3-1 loss to BYU in Phoenix. Arizona was forced to use two field players in net because its goalkeeper broke a finger a few weeks ago. It was the latest twist in a spring that has been full of them for UA soccer.
We talked to head coach Tony Amato about his contract extension.

A great season ended on Sunday as the ‘Cats lost their opening game to Liberty in the ACHA National Tournament, 7-2.

Arizona won the El Tigre Invitational with a score of 10-under-par.
Bianca Pagdanganan won the individual competition by six shots after with a final round of 67 (-5). The defending national champs head to Phoenix for the ASU Invite this weekend.

The No. 34 ‘Cats (14-3) won their ninth home match in a row as by beating Drake 4-0 on Friday. Jonas Ziverts, Filip Malbasic and Alejandro Reguant got singles wins.

Arizona (9-8) defeated No. 38 Utah on Saturday, 4-1. It is the first conference win of the season for the ‘Cats.
Emma Wilson, Camila Wesbrooks, Talya Zandberg, Gitte Heynemans, Csenge Furak, and Sophia Thomas all won their singles matches.
The team heads to Washington to play against UW and Washington State this weekend.

There is probably a list of at least 69 reasons Rob Gronkowski is considered the best tight end in NFL history, and experts will have time to debate it now as Gronk announced Sunday he is retiring.
The three-time Super Bowl champ played at Arizona for two seasons.
Kevin Sumlin recapped the first week of spring practice, and noted he will be on the injury list for a bit. Sumlin injured his ankle at practice, but said he’ll “be fine.”
UA updated the 2019 roster, and we have three storylines to pay attention to during the spring.
