What they’re saying about Nico Mannion and Josh Green at McDonald’s All-American practice
Arizona Wildcats signees Nico Mannion and Josh Green are in Atlanta this week for the McDonald’s All-American Game, where they will compete with and against the top talent in their class.
The game is set for Wednesday, March 27. Before then, the players have been scrimmaging and practicing. Here is what people are saying about UA’s dynamic duo along with some highlights.
Evan Daniels and Josh Gershon on 247Sports.com: “From the beginning of practice to the end, Mannion played impressive basketball, showing off his advanced skill set to go with his high level basketball IQ. Mannion consistently took defenders off the dribble with his handle and craftiness, creating open looks for himself and teammates. Mannion, who can efficiently score from all three levels, is equally adept as a facilitator. He also gave impressive effort on defense.”
Both McDonalds teams are practicing simultaneously, and the contrast between them is stark. Nico Mannion's West team is running like a well-oiled machine, in large part thanks to his polish and IQ. Cole Anthony's East team, while talented, looks really disorganized and disjointed

#Arizona fans are going to have some fun with Nico Mannion next year. Dude is a flat out player. Great feel, very good decision maker, scores at all three levels and competes.

Day 2 of @McDAAG practice. Arizona signees Nico Manning and Josh Green really goingbat each other in the one on one drills. Not much chatter here on if they will remain committed to the Wildcats if Head Coach Sean Miller’s tenure happens to come to an end.

Arizona signee Nico Mannion has an impressive blend of facilitating and scoring. He’s showed that here at McDonald’s. Here he finds James Wiseman for a lob off a pick & roll. pic.twitter.com/Q2oS4mkDSc

NBA guys have also been impressed with the poise and maturity of Arizona bound PG @niccolomannion who told me he will get to campus in July to get an early start. He’s a projected first-rounder in 2020, per @DraftExpress pic.twitter.com/ht8sdhzcFF
