Report: Chase Jeter to play at Oregon despite knee injury

When Chase Jeter had to leave the game in the second half Thursday at Oregon State with an apparent injury, it was hard not to think of the worst. After all, Jeter had already missed time with a back injury earlier this season, ironically also against OSU.

But the bruised knee that Jeter suffered two days ago apparently wasn’t that bad. According to Bruce Pascoe of the Arizona Daily Star, the redshirt junior center will be in action for the Arizona Wildcats for Saturday night’s game at the Oregon Ducks.

Jeter is averaging 11.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game this season. He had six points and six rebounds in 22 minutes at OSU, but in wins last weekend at home against the Bay Area schools he averaged 13.5 points on 13-of-18 shooting.
